On the evening of 16th June 2010, Nam Hai Port welcomed the first container vessel, M/v Iller Trader of Pacific International Lines (PIL). This is one of three vessels with capacity of 957 TEUs (M/v Elena; M/v Hoheplate, M/v Iller Trader) for CPS service with port rotation: PSA (Singapore) - Hai Phong - Hong Kong - Lansha (China) - Manila - Davao - Kota Kinabalu (Malaysia) - Muara (Brunei) - PSA.

This is the fourth shipping lines sent vessels to Nam Hai Port: Gemadept Shipping Lines, China Shipping Lines, Zim Lines and Pacific International Lines. Pacific International Lines (PIL) incorporated in 1967 has developed from a coastal ship-owner/operator in Singapore to become one of the largest shipowners in Asia. Today, it is ranked 20th amongst the top containership operators in the world. As of June 2010, PIL owns and operates a fleet of 121 vessels with a total TEU capacity of about 221,733 TEUs. 8 new container vessels with a total capacity of 37,300 TEUs and including 4 new multi-purpose vessels which will be delivered by September 2012. PIL also owns and operates a fleet of more than 361,562 TEUs of marine containers.
